MAYOR PAUL LOOMIS

Mayor Paul M. Loomis was elected in December, 2013 and began his current term on January 7, 2014.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from Chapman University and a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Mayor Loomis has 9 years of private sector work experience in Program and Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Acquisition.  He retired after 26 years of active duty service in the United States Army (1979 to 2005), his assignments include being posted in the United States, Asia and Europe.  He received various military decorations and badges, including Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault.

Paul and Judy have 6 children and 12 grandchildren.

Mayor Loomis thoroughly enjoys serving the citizens of Blackfoot and being involved in the community.
