About Us
The Blackfoot Fire Department, Established in 1887, is responsible for delivering emergency medical services, fire protection and rescue to over 1500 square miles of property and land in Bingham County, Idaho.
To do so, the Department consists of 27 full-time employees along with the Fire Chief, a full-time Office Administrator and a part time Assistant to maintain emergency staffing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each of the three shifts are comprised of licensed Paramedics and state certified EMT's as well as Idaho State Certified Structural and Wildland Firefighters.
