The City of Blackfoot has been recognized by the Military Order of the Purple Heart as being a Purple Heart City. This designation is presented to Cities, Counties and States whom the Order feels show gratitude to the service members of the community, who have been killed or injured during combat, defending the freedoms that all Americans enjoy.
